SUMMARY
My work is made up of the preliminary pages and five chapters. Chapter one talks about the introduction, definition, objectives and relevance of the internship. Chapter two talks on the area of the internship that is the background of the chambers, composition, code of conduct of an advocate, Visit to Locus Inquo, external and internal functions of the law chambers .
Chapter three talks about the interpretation of statutes, chapter four talks about the description of the weekly activities specifically week one and the final week and chapter five is the conclusion and recommendation.
CHAPTER ONE
1.1 Introduction
The internship program is aimed at providing opportunities for students in a particular field of studies with enough experience of the day to day work carried out in his or her field of studies. In other to carry out the internship exercise, the students have the task of searching for an appropriate place to do so. After the internship program must have taken place, interns are expected to write a report about the internship and that is the purpose of this work. However, my internship report will be made up of; the place of internship, duration of the internship, background of the firm and the weekly activities that took place.
1.2 Location of Chambers
The Eta-Besong Law Chambers is situated in the Southwest region of Cameroon, at Bonduma, in Buea
1.3 Definition of Internship
Internship can be defined as a professional learning experience that offers meaningful, practical work related to a student’s field of studies. It should be noted that internship gives students the opportunity to develop and learn new skills and also gives them the opportunity to know more about their field of studies.
1.4 Objectives of Internship
– Internship helps in gaining connection with persons who can help provide information when needed.
– Internship gives students the opportunity to blend theory with practical.
– It gives opportunities to students to learn new skills in their area of study.
– It gives students the opportunity for career exploration.
– it brings about the development of talents from the interns.
