ABSTRACT

Community credit company (CCC PLC) is a category two (2) micro finance institution with about 20 branches nationwide. It aim is to offer quality service to its customers.

My internship was carried out in CCC PLC Tiko situated along long street Tiko town.

The purpose of this internship was to merge both theory and practical. CCC PLC offers services to its customer who are mostly civil servants, plantation du penja (PHP) workers and business owners, its main aim is to provide quality services to its customers.CCC PLC Tiko offers services such as saving account for customers who want to save thier money for future purposes, salary account, payment of school fees, financing of petty businesses, payment of old age pension allowance, payment of salaries,term and fixed deposit,money transfer, ATM cards, create current account, business account and also grant loans to customers.

During my internship program i realized that CCC PLC Tiko has insufficient staff to satisfy its massive customers and therefore recommended top management should train more staff.

CHAPTER ONE
INTRODUCTION

1.1 DEFINITION OF INTERNSHIP

An internship is a period of work experience offered by an employer to give trainee(intern) exposure to the working environment, often within a specific industry which relates to thier field of studies. During this period of trainig, student are given the opportunity to apply what is being taught to them in school.

Internship gives or help the students to get acquainted with the working environment. During this period, the intern will have working experiences that will prepare him/her for future challenges. He/she is give a chance to explore new opportunities attached to the study, and to learn how to interact with customers.

Students learn how to fit themselves in job market irrespective of the limited opportunities available.

1.2     AIM AND OBJECTIVES OF INTERNSHIP

Internship is aimed at providing opportunities to the students from higher institution to understand the basic experience attained at the job or work place to be able to better appreciate the theory that has been taught in school.

Internship provides real work experience that enables you to put everything you have learned into action. It also helps interns gain skill that can be applied for future jobs.OBJECTIVES OF INTERNSHIP
