ABSTRACT

 

This study investigated the impact of budgeting on the financial performance of Tole tea. The quantitative research was based on the foundation of three specific objectives which were; to investigate the impact of budgetary planning of financial performance, it ascertain the impact of budgetary control on financial performance and to study the extent to which budgetary monitoring affect the financial performance of Tole tea. These objectives guided the formation of the hypotheses. The study made used of survey for data collection, to collect data from 100 participants in Tole tea. The data was displayed in tables, charts and graphs. While Chi-square was employed for test of the various hypotheses. The study found out that there exist a significant relationship between budgetary planning and the financial performance of Tole tea. The findings further revealed that there is a significant relationship between budget control and financial performance of Tole tea. Lastly, the study showed there is a significant relationship between budget monitoring and the financial performance of Tole tea which was the third objective of this study.  The study recommended Budget monitoring processes to be implemented to ensure that actual spending is in line with the budgeted allocations. The study also recommended for a clear system for accountability and reporting on the financial performance of Tole tea Estate. This will foster transparency and ensure that stakeholders are aware of the financial status of the Estate.
