EXCUTIVE SUMMARY

This report takes in to account the definition of internship,characteristics of internship, objectives, and significance of internship. This report also takes into account the background information of  the  Regional Finance Control Buea,with some instructions relating to the execution of  the State Budget , also compare theory and practical. Finally, the SWOT Analysis of the Regional  Finance Control Buea, with  Conclusion and Recommendation on the problem faced.

CHAPTER ONE
INTRODUCTION

1.1ACKGROUND INFORMATION ON INTERNSHIP
The misssion of the University of Buea is to provide or offer Bachelor Degree in the following areas like Accounting, Banking and Finance, Management and Economics. They also provide opportunities for quality education through teaching and research in an environent that is conducive to such pursuits and in ways that respond to market forces. The university is dedicated to the continous quest for excellence, the promotion of moral and human values, and service of the community. Its teaching and research programmes emphasize relevance, encourag tolerance and promote creative critical and independent thinking.
The Faculty of Social and Management Sciences is dedicated to the provision of programmes of study and research of the highest standards. It also produces high quality graduates with skills to satify the ever increasing demand of the Cameroon, African and International job markets.
The Department of Economics and Management is aimed at training academic and professional persons to equipt them with mordern tecniques as well as managerial, Financial and Marketing skills. All this aim at selling human or limited problems in the soceity.
To better blean theory with practical in real World situation, I was previllage to bean intern at the Regional Finance Control of Buea South West Region from August 20th to 28th November 2019 under the general supervision of Madame Abeya Violet.

Carrying out this internship helped me to havean opportunity to work hard in a professional environment and also to gain actual work experience, possible jobs opportunities and different career options.

DEFINITION OF INTERNSHIP
An internship is an opportunity or position of a student to be intergrated in career related experience or satisfy requirements for a qualification or an under graduation education by participating in a plan and supervised work for a period of time.
As a means of achieving this goal, the University of Buea has included industrial experience with involves field work and it is often carried out by a student going to level 400 to complete his/her second semester examination.

Moreso, internship has had great impact on the lives of students especially those in professional training programs. Typically, an internship consists of an exchange of services for experience between the intern and the organization.
Employers benefit from placements because they often recruit employees from their best interns who have known capabilities, thus saving time and money in the long-run. Rules vary from country to country about when interns should be regarded as employees. The system can be open to exploitation by unscrupulous employers.
1.2 CHARACTERISTICS OF INTERNSHIP
The following are the characteristics of intern:
 Internship builds upon the relationship between the University and the employer.
 It provides supervisor accessibility that will make the intern to be active and always have to do at the internship place. It will also make the intern not to be left behind or handing around with no one to tell them what to do or to clarify the questions necessary to complete a project.
 It most be completed before a student graduate.
 It is also a plan and control through insulting which implies that consultation with the students department or University of Buea do as to feed in the graduate experience.
 Internship involves career related experience that compliment what is learned in the classroom.
 Internship is successful when the intern, the University and employer all share the responsibility in making it a valuable experience. The intern will have reflection and evaluation process at the conclusion of the internship.
 It provide the intern the ability of other skills and good ability to use office related software like Ms office, excellent writing and research skills.
 Lastly, it act as a means for an intern to get acquanted with the outside world and interact with other people.
